L´Aster engine for sale

Hello,

I came form Austria and I have found a very nice Aster Engine. It is made in France.

Can anyone give me some technical facts about this engine?

When was this engine build?

we will try to speak with you in english, i don't speak very well but i can explain some thing

I don't know this type of engine precisely
the firm "ASTER" built stationnary engine, hot bulb engine, gaz engine
and engine for cars at the beginning of the century

I think your engine was built on the 20's because the carburator is maybe the same on the first Bernard or CL...

Aster or L'Aster is the same maker.
In the part 1 of Claude ouachée's book, we find 4 pages for this maker :








But your engine seems a car engine. I dont know if you can find your type in these pages. Have you other marker plate ?

Hello Jakob, nice engine! This engine is not stationary or car engine but this is a boat-engine (see brass water pump)
The carburetter is not original and I think that he was built between 1910 and 1920.

Since the first time I have seen this Aster engine, I though that it was a boat-engine.

In this old advertisements there are only stationary engines! no boat-engines!

Is my type of Aster-engine a very rare type? Does any one know how many engines of this type were build?

What type is it exactly?

je ai faite une découverte: vous écrivez que Le ASTER SD est de 1926, mais j'ai trouvé sur un livre italien de 1922 !!!
"Motori a Scoppio" de Garuffa.

Je ai vérifié, c'est lui, il y a une illustration du moteur en section.
