Ransomes MG 2

Hello everyone,

My name is Niels and I'm from the Netherlands. I have a 1939 Ransomes MG 2, which is in restoration at the moment.

Sadly, my French isn't really good, so I write in English, or will use a translation programme.

If you need help with a MG 2, maybe I can help. In the future I hope to buy a MG 5 or 6. I'm always interested, and if it's in the North of France, collecting should't be the biggest problem Smile

You can find a lot of pictures on my website, however if there is anything you want to see in detail, I will search for a detailed photograph.

This summer I first intend to find a MG 5/6 overhere, but machines are rare here, although I know were to find some. Hopefully the prices are fair.

Nice MG5, can you give some details about the implement hitch?

I saw these more on 'French' machines, are these an original option, or were these all home made?

Hm... hard to tell.
How is the rope driven? By hand, or by the pto via a gearbox? And how do you fit the implement? I've seen more pictures, the system looks quite usefull. I think it lifts better than the standard ransomes system. thanks for the pictures.

Hello,

The cable is rolled up on a rotary tree training by the engine and the tool is fixed by a unique(only) point, it is towed by the machine and possesses wheels to settle(adjust) the depth
